frequently asked questions........

Do you accept insurance?

Yes.  I currently am a provider with a number of insurance companies, including:

United Behavioral Health, United Healthcare, Cigna, Aetna, Rocky Mountain Health Plans, Great West Cigna, Magellan, Golden Rule, Mines and Associates and others.  You are responsible for the copay or deductible, and for obtaining initial authorization if it is required.  I file a claim with your insurance carrier and they reimburse me directly.  I also participate in plans that have out-of-network benefits for which I may not be a contracted provider.

Please contact your insurance company to inquire if I am a provider in your plan, or if not, if you have out-of-network benefits that may cover a portion of the cost.

What are your psychotherapy session rates?

60 to 75 minute sessions range between $96 and $120.

I offer reduced rates for those in need of financial assistance.

Do you do free introductory sessions?

I am happy to talk to you at length on the phone, at no charge, to share information about how I work and to answer any questions you may have.

What can I expect from a first session?

The first session is an opportunity to talk about your goals, history and how I might help you.   It is a time for us to explore the problem(s) you want to work on and specific ways I would work with you to help you achieve your goals.
